Module 6: TonicDM Web Application Features

Accessing the Web Application

  • URL: app.TonicDM.com/login

  • Login using your work email address

  • No additional password required (SSO integration)

  • Available anywhere with internet connection

Home Page Navigation

Search bar Cross-project search functionality

?: TonicDM Chat support access

User Initials: Profile information + Settings

Navigation Tabs

  • Project: All accessible projects in your firm

    • Top projects: Most frequently accessed projects appear first

    • Locked projects: Projects with restricted access

  • My Items: View of users' CA items

  • Search: Cross Project Email Search

  • People tab: Access to the entire corporate directory

Advanced Search Capabilities

  • Multi-keyword search: Enter multiple terms separated by returns

  • Organization filters: Filter by specific companies or consultants

  • Date range search: Narrow results by time period

  • Attachment search: Find emails with specific attachments

  • Internal-only filter: Show only internal communications

Project View

To access the "project view" select a project from the home page or search or a project in the search bar

The project name and number will be in the top right of the screen. Project settings wheel to the right.

  • Email tab: All emails filed to the selected project

  • Files tab: Transfer log and file sharing tools

  • Construction Administration tab: Submittals, SIs, RFIs, PCOs

  • People tab: Project team and contact management

  • Tasks tab: Manage internal project tasks

Depending on your firm's licensing, you may have some or all of the tabs.

Email Tab Overview

  • Viewing full conversations: See entire email threads

  • Confidentiality controls: Set entire conversations as confidential

  • Download options: Save original email files back to Outlook

  • Managing misfiled emails: Move or delete options

  • Deep linking: Create links to specific emails for sharing

File Tab Overview

  • Transfer logs: Complete history of all project file transfers

  • Download tracking: See who accessed files and when

  • Request management: Track incoming file requests

  • Transmittal records: Permanent record of file transfers

CA Tab Overview

  • Submittals, Supplemental Instructions, RFI & PCO logs: Complete history of all project CA activities.

Teams Tab Overview

  • Suggested team members: Based on email communication frequency

  • Adding team members: Quick-add from suggestions

  • Creating distribution groups: For simplified file transfers

  • Exporting team lists: For reporting and documentation

Tasks Tab Overview

  • Assign and Manage Project Tasks: Create tasks, assign collaborators, set due dates

  • Tracking Log: Overview of all outstanding Tasks

User Profile and Settings

  • Personal information: Update your contact details

  • Preferences: Set default behaviors

  • Organization settings: Access to administrative tools (admins only)

Engagement Activity

Matching Exercise: Connect the task with the correct location in the web application:

  1. Find an email across all projects [Search on Home page]

  2. See who's on a project team [People tab in Project view]

  3. View download history for files [File Transfer tab in Project view]

  4. Find contact information for a consultant [People tab on Home page]

  5. Move a misfiled email [Email tab in Project view - admin function]
