Manually adding yourself to a team requires a number of clicks, so manually adding yourself to a lot of teams will be tedious.

You might prefer to wait and be auto-added to teams instead.

People are auto-added to teams whenever someone at your firm files an email that you're on. Assuming you're receiving emails for projects, you'll be auto-added to those project teams very quickly.

You'll also be added to teams based on involvement in file transfers, RFIs and submittals.

Note:

The “Recently Used” project list at the top of the Outlook sidebar manages itself, so just being on a team doesn’t add value to that.
