If it is not realistic for your organization to reply by the sender's requested return date, you can track your own target return date.

  • Sender requests answer by: is the date the sender requested your reply by. It is important to record this date, even if you do not intend to reply by this date.
  • Our answer by date: this is the date your organization intends to reply by.

TonicDM will have entered a suggested date in the Our answer by date field.
You can:

  • Keep the suggested date.
  • Click copy over to copy the sender's requested date.
  • Use the calendar icon to chose a date.

Controlling the suggested date

In your Project Settings, there are fields to define:

  • The number of business days your organization normally returns RFIs.
  • The number of business days your organization normally returns submittals.
  • The number of business days your organization normally requests RFI responses from your consultants.
  • The number of business days your organization normally requests submittal responses from your consultants.

Tip: By settings these values to the normal number of days, TonicDM's suggested date will be the value you need most often.

Note: Business days means Monday to Friday. In a future edition alternative work weeks and holidays will be supported.
