Is TonicDM intended to replace my company's server?

Short answer... No. Read this article for a longer explanation.

TonicDM is intended to be the organized record of the files, RFIs and submittals that come in and out of your office. It is not intended to contain every file created for your project, in fact it will likely contain only a small subset of your project files.

This is a good thing!

Projects generate a huge number of files. The goal of TonicDM is to capture only the documents of significance. We do this by capturing the files that were sent or received.

In the long term, this smaller, more organized, record of the project's documents of significance (with the context of how they were used) will be valuable as a companion to the complete set of project files.
